Progress & Timeline

Our progress to date

Key milestones across SofiaSante's obesity therapeutic, delivery, half-life extension and oncology programs.

3 March 2025Transdermal delivery platform

CSIRO research partnership commenced

SofiaSante commenced a research partnership with CSIRO under the CSIRO Kick-Start Program to assess the feasibility of its transdermal drug-delivery platform.

June 2025Transdermal delivery platform

CSIRO scoping study completed

CSIRO completed a scoping study and concluded that SofiaSante's transdermal delivery approach is technically viable and suitable for further experimental proof-of-concept development, subject to addressing key translational requirements.

January 2026Lead obesity therapeutic

Research Partnership Agreement entered into with a University in the People's Republic of China

SofiaSante entered into a Research Partnership Agreement with a University in the People's Republic of China for in-silico design and access to a supercomputer for the in-silico design.

Q1 to Q2 2026Lead obesity therapeutic

Computational design and candidate generation

The lead obesity program progressed through large-scale candidate generation, computational enrichment, structural evaluation, and molecular-dynamics-informed prioritisation to support candidate shortlisting.

Current stageLead obesity therapeutic

Candidate shortlisting and validation preparation

SofiaSante is preparing to move selected lead candidates into synthesis and first wet-lab validation.

Next stageLead obesity therapeutic

First synthesis and in vitro validation

Selected candidates are intended to progress into synthesis, receptor pharmacology, and early biological validation.

Next stageHalf-life extension technologies

Half-life extension integration

SofiaSante will evaluate half-life extension approaches intended to improve duration of action, receptor engagement pattern, and long-term pharmacodynamic performance.

Next stageTransdermal delivery platform

Delivery-platform proof of concept

SofiaSante plans to translate CSIRO's feasibility findings into focused proof-of-concept studies for controlled transdermal delivery.

Next stageOncology adjunct conjugates

Oncology adjunct concept validation

SofiaSante is exploring adjunct conjugates designed to improve the tumour microenvironment and reduce treatment-limiting chemotherapy side effects.
