Alongside the lead obesity therapeutic, SofiaSante is building complementary platforms across delivery, half-life extension, and oncology supportive care.

Transdermal Delivery Platform

A transdermal delivery platform for obesity therapeutics, intended to provide a third option between needle-based pens and oral GLP-1 receptor agonists, particularly for peptide and metabolic therapies not ideally suited to conventional oral delivery. A CSIRO scoping study concluded the approach is technically viable and suitable for further development.

Half-Life Extension Technologies

Novel half-life extension approaches intended to do more than increase the time between administrations. The objective is to improve systemic exposure, receptor engagement patterns, pharmacodynamic durability, and long-term biological performance, while also considering receptor desensitisation observed with some incretin-based obesity therapeutics.

Oncology Adjunct Conjugates

Adjunct oncology conjugates designed to target the tumour microenvironment and reduce treatment-limiting side effects associated with chemotherapy agents, supporting more efficient dose escalation and improving the biological environment in which chemotherapy agents operate.

Current stage of development

SofiaSante is at a preclinical discovery and translational development stage. The lead obesity therapeutic is in candidate optimisation and validation preparation. The transdermal delivery platform is in feasibility and proof-of-concept planning, translating CSIRO's feasibility conclusions into a focused development path. The half-life extension platform is in design-stage development, and the oncology adjunct program is in early concept and target-definition planning.
